Minor Ailments is now part of a scheme called Pharmacy First, though not all services listed within Pharmacy First is available in all pharmacies.
The pharmacists at Woodbourne Pharmacy are qualified and trained to treat a wide range of minor medical conditions through the minor ailment/pharmacy first service, saving you time and money.
Treatment for a wide range of common ailments is offered by this service, including head lice, ear wax, athlete’s foot, diarrhoea, and many more.
The good news is that you can simply come to the pharmacy and ask to speak with a pharmacist regarding a minor ailment; no appointment is required. We will be able to let you know if the minor illness that you are experiencing qualifies for free treatment under the Minor Ailment Scheme.
Although, in most cases, the medication provided by our pharmacist will treat the condition, it's crucial that you see your doctor or pharmacist again if your symptoms don't go away. Always inform your doctor that you were treated by our pharmacy and that you followed our recommendation for treatment.
